Drifting is an unconscious process. You do not have to make a conscious effort

When you are drifting, you do not drift upstream. It is always downstream. That is you never drift towards God, you always drift further and further away from God.

As you drift, the speed begins to increase.

When you are drifting it always poses danger to others

Drifting most often ends up in shipwreck.
SIGNS OF DRIFTING

Lack of desire for studying of the Word of God

Difficult for you to have a personal time of prayer with God

Diminishing interest in the things of God

Diminishing interest in coming to the house of God

Desire for sharing the Gospel with others dwindles

Your examples are always of the past

If you begin to like the things that you did not like before. You begin to love pleasure more than God
REMEDY FOR DRIFTING

Acknowledge it and come to that place where diligence becomes your watch word. That you get diligent.

Perseverance. You must persevere

What is the state of your relationship with God? Watch out for the undercurrent for they are the things that make people drift
